Drone Site Visit + Architectural Modeling + Design Direction + 3D Walkthrough Animation + 4 Photorealistic Renderings

SoCal was commissioned by Devcon Construction to produce a fully integrated architectural visualization package for the new Music Building at Moreau Catholic High School (MCHS).

This project required a comprehensive approach combining on-site drone capture, architectural modeling, creative design direction, and the production of both photorealistic renderings and a cinematic 3D walkthrough animation.

The first phase of the project involved visiting the project site to capture high-resolution aerial drone footage. This footage served as the foundation for the animation’s opening sequence, allowing viewers to seamlessly transition from real-world conditions into the fully realized architectural vision.

Using advanced camera tracking techniques, SoCal integrated the real drone footage directly into the 3D environment. This process ensured precise alignment between the physical site and the proposed building, creating a highly realistic and immersive visual experience.

Animation Planning and Animatic Approval Process

Prior to full production, SoCal developed and delivered an animatic — a preliminary animation outlining camera movement, timing, and storytelling structure.

This step allowed the client and project team to review and approve the camera path and narrative flow before advancing to final production.

This structured workflow ensured alignment across all stakeholders while minimizing revisions and maximizing production efficiency.
